Mandira Wirk

"Mandira Wirk"Mandira Wirk, after graduating from ‘The Pearl Academy of Fashion’ has started with her designing journey with her label ‘Mandira’.

She made a foray into high profile Indian couture stores, having tutored in the art of fashion design from the International malls of London and blended the two domains to perfection.

Her designs exude class and wear ability that is reflected in her easy silhouettes, minimal embroideries in straight and structured cuts as fusion is being her mainstay.

The designer uses various fabrics like Silk, Crepe, Satin, Tussar, Blends, Jamavar, Georgette, Zari and Tissue incorporation her prints and solid colored textiles with a plethora of hand embroidery forms in her highly wearable collections.

However, the form of the collection is simple and the structure easy with special cuts, fall, finesse & style creating timeless outfits and also dips it into the textile treasures of Varanasi and the South.

Mandira’s designs suit the millennium – working women and her creation are a symbol of subtlety as many of her designs bear the forte of being seamless in their style embellishing from dawn to dusk.

She created a furore in the fashion arena with her 2001 Fall/Winter collection “Dawn To Dusk” at Maurya Shearton, followed by a fashion preview at The Mega Wedding Show 2001 held at Mumbai.

In 2002, Mandira showcased her spring summer 2002 collection at the Lakme India Fashion Week followed by her highly acclaimed Fall/winter collection 2002 at The Metropolitan hotel Nikko.

The designer retails through her own exclusive store N&M at Sainik Farms, New Delhi.
