In the year 2003, Rohit was awarded the Scrolls of Honor by the Pearl Academy of Fashion in his final year of fashion design in Integrated Fashion Technology.
He designed under renowned names of the Fashion fraternity for a couple of years, developing collections as well as print designs for the international market.
Rohit launched his own label ‘Rohit Mittal’ in the year 2005. The label is being retailed through various high end stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Hong Kong, London and Sydney. His label caters to contemporary elegant women with Indian aesthetics. His collections show strong influence of rich Indian fabrics, embroideries, satins, silks and bucket dyeing techniques.
The uniqueness of his label is his continuous innovative experimentation in his designs which endears a certain breath of freshness. He combines traditional techniques with modern simple silhouettes, endeavoring to take his collections to an international level that can be worn by women globally.
Rohit showcases his collections at stores such as Kimaya, Aza and Amara to name a few. His collections are also being stocked by stores in London and Hong Kong.
Rohit debuted at Dubai Fashion Week in March 2008 with his Autumn/Winter collection for 2008/09. He later participated in WIFW with his Spring/Summer collection in October 2008.
