Synthesis’11

A compendium of explorations, innovations and research by the graduating cohorts of the Business & Technology and Retail Department of Pearl academy of fashion, was organized on 28th of May 2011 at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

The event began with the welcome address given by Emcee Radhika PGFM and opening address was given by Dr. Vinod Shanbhag, Academic Advisor, PAF.

Graduating students presented their research works, themes were Technology in Application, Market Opportunities and Responsible Fashion. Eminent personalities Mr. Mridul Dasgupta – Country Manager JC Penney, Mr. Sachin Vaish – Entrepreneur, Mr. Manish Kapoor – Head Sisley, Ms. Gennie Lamba – DMM JC Penney, Mr. Sujal Shah – Smile Foundation and Ms. Mridula Dixit – Country Manager Lindex chaired the panels.

The students who presented were

  2. Shikha Prakash – UG FMP
  3. Tarini Chawla – UG FRM
  4. Priyanka Shukla – PG FR
  5. Nikita Jain – UG FRM
  6. Saurabh Chadda – UG FMP
  7. Noor Bhatia – PG FMG
  8. Shinu Thomas – PG FM

Certificates and awards were distributed to all presenters and awards for innovative projects were also handed over by Col.Surojit Bose and Dr. Tarun Panwar.

There were more than 50 eminent personalities from the industry attending the event. After the presentations the audience went to see the display of boards and then interacted with each other and the students over lunch.
