Students learn about immense career opportunities in Textile, Jewellery and Design industry
Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) Jaipur – India’s leading Fashion and Design Institute known for its internationally benchmarked quality of education – recently welcomed students of The Doon School, Dehradun, to its campus. The trip on 17th February witnessed a group of 20 enthusiastic students, along with three faculty members, seeking insights into the nuances of PAF’s Textile and Fashion Design courses.
Fashion Design is an excellent opportunity for embarking upon a creative career in clothing. It holds immense employment opportunities in the rapidly expanding designer label, luxury brands, apparel retail brands and ready-to-wear fashion industry. In the current competitive environment, a fashion designer needs to be equipped with knowledge, skills and the proper professional attitude to give shape to his or her creative ideas through technical interpretations.
The Textile Design programme offers an exciting range of learning opportunities spanning across textile design and promotion, focusing on all four core specialist techniques of knits, weaves, prints and surface ornamentation. Incidentally, prospects in the Textile industry transcend apparels, extending into new avenues such as home furnishings, technical textiles and accessories. The students were run through the various processes and methodologies for turning a fabric into a finished product. PAF’s veteran faculty members then briefed the visiting students about additional fashion avenues and career opportunities via these courses.
The Jewellery Design course structure and content is designed to provide a positive platform for the motivated students with creative flair to develop their skills and abilities in preparation for facing the professional world. The program seeks to equip students to take the first step on the journey to creative endeavors in the field of gems and Jewellery. The students are polished to develop an eye and personal perspective to deal with the various faculties of Jewellery activity.
