All for budding designers

The recently concluded International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes’ (IFFTI) 2012 Conference hosted by Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) had fashion and traditional handicrafts on display.

Fashion icon Angela Missoni was in Jaipur for this event and shared her inspirational stories with the youngsters who were present for the conference. Angela said, “My greatest wish is that the young students who are here today will be inspired by the Missoni story. By sharing a slice of my life, I hope to inspire young designers to reach deep within themselves as they pursue their own creative paths.”

All activities were interwoven with the conference theme – Fashion Beyond Borders. Also present for this conference were – Rajeev Sethi of Asian Heritage Foundation, Simon Lock, creative director, Dubai Fashion Week and Jeffry Aronsson, CEO, Emanuel Ungaro, among others.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, Dr AKG Nair, group director, Pearl Academy of Fashion said, “The only conference that attracts national and international design leaders spanning the fashion industry’s varied spectrum, IFFTI 2012, provided all stakeholders an interactive platform across the value chain in fashion and design. The idea behind bringing IFFTI to India was to showcase the universal convergence of fashion and design, while highlighting the enormous potential of the Indian market to the global audience.”
